Sabreliner Jets

The North American Sabreliner story begins nearly 50 years ago with the military T-39. It's no surprise that the business jet it spawned, the Sabreliner 40 was robust in construction, featured excellent climb and short field performance. Despite its inherent lack of speed, the reliability of these features has contributed to its popularity.

The very first Sabreliners, developed between 1959 and 1982 included the Series 60, 60A, 75 and 75A. In 1973, North American merged with Rockwell International and set about giving its existing Sabreliner designs a facelift. Each proceeding model presented improvements over the model that came before it - greater cabin space, better aerodynamics, higher cruising speeds, updated engines and more cabin windows.

Sabreliner production ceased in 1981.
