Learjets

The term Learjet has been nearly synonymous with 'private jet' since Bill Lear rolled out his first model 23 in 1963, revealing what would become the world's first business jet. By 1975, the company was celebrating the production of its 500th jet - the first manufacturer to hit that milestone. Learjet experimented with turbofans, longer wings and winglets on later models, improving lift, maneuverability and range in the process. Hailed as a tireless innovator of aircraft technology, Learjet performance standards continue to reflect an intense focus on speed, climb, luxury and sleek design.

From the high-performance Learjet 31A to the transcontinental 60 and mid-size corporate 45, Learjet maintains a firm hold on the corporate jet market. The Learjet 85 is currently under development and when completed in 2013, will be the first business jet built primarily from carbon composites, raising the bar in cabin comfort, efficiency and performance. All models are produced by Bombardier Learjet in Wichita, Kansas.
