Embraer Jets

The Brazilian-based Embraer has carved out quite a niche for itself producing executive, military, agricultural, and regional shuttle aircraft since its inception in 1969. The government-owned corporation sold solely to the domestic market up until 1975, the majority of which was military related. Embraer's first private business jet, the Legacy 600 arrived in the year 2000 and was available in two configurations, the 16-passenger Executive or the 37-passenger Shuttle.

Slightly smaller than its competitors (Boeing BBJ and Airbus ACJ), the Lineage 1000 was launched in 2006. Marketed as an "ultra-large" business jet, the Lineage 1000 could seat 19 passengers in perfect comfort and offered additional fuel tanks, practically doubling its range.

In 2008, Embraer jumped on the Very Light Jet (VLJ) bandwagon, premiering the single-pilot, entry-level Phenom 100 followed by the Phenom 300 one year later.
